Sara Mörtsell is a PhD student at the University of Gävle and Umeå University.
I am a PhD student at the University of Gävle and take part in the graduate programme at the Department of Education at Umeå. With the Swedish National Graduate School for Digital Technologies in Education (GRADE), I research web technologies and teaching.
I have a background in secondary school teaching, which is why the classroom setting is an interesting site for my study. I have also been involved in web projects and organised open online education, such as MOOC for teachers and the Wikipedia Education programme in Sweden. My involvement in working with digital resources for education, in Sweden and internationally, has stimulated my interest in how classroom practices become entangled with major platforms and digital infrastructures and how digital technologies are made relevant to education.
