Jimmy Jaldemark is Associate Professor at Mid Sweden University.
Since the beginning of my career in the mid-1990s, I have worked with issues concerning the relationship between digitalization and learning. This has included an involvement in teaching as well as participation in development projects and research. Among current tasks, I am leading a research group called HEEL (Higher Education and E-Learning) and I am a member of the board of GRADE.
Usually my research concerns issues of how communication and learning could be enhanced by digital technologies. Within this field I have studied the consequences of implementing social media and mobile devices in educational settings, in particular the digitalization of teaching practices. I have also been involved in studies of learning in working life. Other issues of interest is online supervision in higher education.
